IPL T20 2012 Schedule: Dates For 5th Indian Premier League Session
IPL 2012 Schedule has been announced; the IPL 5 season begins from April 04, 2012 and runs through May 27, 2012.
Indian Premier League fifth edition scheduled between April 4th May 27th will feature 74 matches. The 54 days of extravaganza will be the second edition of Indian Premier League involving 10 teams. The Chennai Super Kings will start the campaign defending the championship.
IPL Chairman Chirayu Amin was quoted saying, “We are happy to confirm the opening and closing dates of IPL 2012, ten months in advance. The match-schedule will be announced soon. We have no doubt that the fifth season of IPL will be, if not more, eventful and exciting than the previous ones.”
The IPL 2012 match schedule and dates will follow soon. But it will be immediately after India returns from series against Australia which feature 5 test matches, two T20 internationals and a tri-series with Australia and Sri Lanka.
IPL 1 was won by Rajasthan Royals, IPL 2 went to Chennai Super Kings, IPL 3 champions were Deccan Chargers and IPL 4 was again won by the Chennai Super Kings.
